Joanna holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics Kinesiology from Trinity Western University and a Master of Science in Human Kinetics Biomechanics from the University of Ottawa. She is committed to bridging the gap between research and clinical rehabilitation and injury prevention practices.
Joanna hails from Calgary, AB and made the move to Langley, BC to further her education and athletic pursuits. She also competed for TWU's Track and Field team.
With a passion for understanding the effects of ACL injuries on knee neuromuscular control in athletes, Joanna pursued her Master's degree in Ottawa. Her dedication to the Ottawa Women's Football community continues as she joins the Elite Hawks flag football program.
When not pursuing her passions, Joanna enjoys being an aunt to her niece and two nephews and spending quality time with her family.
