Why I coach
I coach flag football because I love the sport and enjoy helping younger players grow, both on and off the field. Coaching gives me the chance to share what I’ve learned, build confidence in players, and create a positive environment where everyone can have fun. I also want to give back to my community and make a difference for the next generation of athletes.
Coaching philosophy
My coaching philosophy is to create a positive and supportive environment where every player feels included, confident, and motivated to improve. I believe coaching is about more than just winning games, it’s about teaching teamwork, communication, respect, and confidence. I want my players to enjoy playing flag football, learn from their mistakes, and feel proud of their progress. Most importantly, I want to be someone my players can look up to and know that I believe in them.
What athletes can expect
Athletes can expect a positive, fun, and supportive environment where they are encouraged to work hard and be themselves. I’ll push players to improve while also understanding that everyone learns at their own pace. They can expect clear communication, teamwork, respect, and lots of encouragement. My goal is for every athlete to leave each practice feeling like they learned something new and got a little better.

Favourite part about coaching
My favourite part about coaching is seeing the players improve and gain confidence over time. I love watching them learn new skills, support each other, and get excited about the game. It’s really rewarding to know that I can help them grow as athletes while also making a positive impact on them outside of football.
Away from football
